Make Your Own Wool Wash!
Baby wash does not contain any lanolin so it has the potential to strip wool of lanolin. For this reason, to bring it up to par with wool wash, you might want to add lanolin during the wash process (this is not necessary, however, lanolizing afterwards is to replenish the lanolin content).
Here are the steps to creating and using your own baby wool wash...

- Rinse the wool in lukewarm water.
-This removes the urine and salt residue as well as saturates your wool. - Fill sink with lukewarm water.
- Heat about ½-1 Cup water.
- Melt a small amount of pure lanolin (used in breastfeeding or from a WAHM/local pharmacist) in the water (a pea size, or several peas worth depending on how much wool you are washing).
- Add a squirt of baby wash and mix thoroughly to emulsify.
- Add to the sink & follow basic washing instructions.
