Lanolizing - Dry Method
Lanolizing is a necessary step in caring for your wool to ensure that it is well conditioned. Over time, washing (even with lanolin rich wool wash products) can strip away the lanolin and leave your wool dry.
Balm is one of the easiest methods to lanolize your wool. They are smoother and creamier than sticky solid lanolin and are a treat for your hands!
- Scoop out a pea size (to start, you can adjust to your preference if needed) amount and rub it between your palms.
- Gently pat the balm into the wool, concentrating on the inside 'wet zone'.
Thats it! This can be used on dry or wet wool, but keep in mind, if used on wet wool it could extend the drying time.
Liquid lanolin can also be used in the same manner.
